What do you mean when you remove the soup bowl? What does it do, What are the advantages of removing it? Does it really help????

The soup bowl is that bowl looking thingy under the breather lid.Use a grinder or sawzall to cut it off as close to the lid as possible.The advantage is more air down the intake,you may also see a small increase in mpg and power.The only dissadvantage i know of is the engine will sound a tad louder.

air chisel 5 min tops just need to break 6 or so spot welds bowl drops right off

Takes 5 minutes tops, even including the commentary wile grinding and joking with the helmet after it is off.
