The above are for 96 and earlier zf shifted trucks. The newer trucks changed the bell housings with the Triton engine series and the powerstroke. So, the transmissions changed as well. Also, Ford added a 6-sp ZF.
Which BTW, if you were to take a 6-sp powerstroke ZF and put it against the back of a 460/429 block, its darn close... I've been having these evil voices....
Sounds like a cool conversion. Let me know if you ever attempt it. That's the only thing that makes me lean towards getting a newer powerstoke with the 6 speed instead of getting my favorite body style (92-97). BTW, I would have to imagine that a newer 6 speed would bolt up to an older powerstoke... Is that a good assumption?
