No i'm not talking bout grandma. . i have a 86 f150 4x4 and the front end seems to sit about 2 inches lower than the rear. is this normal, or do i need new springs. it does not seem to bounce bad or anything. but it looks like i'm ready for the tractor pulls or something.
Normally the front does sit a little lower than the rear since the rear has less weight over it than the front. Since yours is a 4x4 though it should sit higher in the front than a 4x2.
measure the bump stops to axle pivot arms. belive in that year, you should have gap of 2.25 +- .375. if not you may have bad springs in the front. is a common problem in the fords with the straight cut springs. those with the progressive springs usually held up better.
