I recently had my gauge face changed to a white background. Ever since the change, I have noticed that my speedometer is reading 10 mph over what I am actually going. It also hesitates -- after I get up to about 10 mph it will finally move and then jumps up to 20 mph. It's not a huge problem, but a nuissance that I would like to get rid of. Has anyone else had this problem and is the fix easy?
I really don't know for sure, but did you disconnect the speedo cable when you were replacing the gauge faces? Sounds like you may of just hooked it back up a little off.
I would say that the hesitation may be caused by a rubbing of the face aganist the needle.
