can be depends on how good you are at matching rpms with road speed I want to say zf-5 speed but you got to look at it to know for sure look at the passenger side if it has a zf in a diamond thats what you got.

my 3rd gear synchro is kinda #$#%ed. the shift fork seems to be bent also, something bad hapened to my 3rd gear before i got it. that tranny is 1,000,000 times better than the chevy or dodge 5-speeds. the dodge nv4500 is the biggest piece of junk i have ever seen. and they put them behind the cummins!!? i dunno man! i hate trying to shift a 4500, it just feels like junk when you shift it. and the stupid 5th gear nut keeps falling off, whats up with that!! 5th gear nut.... idk
