Info on factory programming please.
My Volant cai just arrived today and I plan on installing it this evening. In order for the engine to calibrate to the new air flow, I know I need to reset the pcm. My question is this: Will it lose the reflash that I got from the factory for the updated program? if it does, will it hurt the truck to not reset the pcm? I dont want to have to take it back to the dealership again.... I am sick of seeing my truck in that shop.

I asked the same question not too long ago and was told that it will not lose it. Whatever is the last program in the pcm will be there when you reconnect the negative battery cable. It was explained to me that when you disconnect and reconnect the computer is just relearning your driving habits. Hope this helps.
