we have a 1990 ford ranger, 2.3 , we have changed the ignition module, crank sensor, coils, new plugs and wires. tester says everything is getting spark but it wont turn over. took it to the shop last week. they said it was the ignition module. how ever after replacing it it still wont start. any ideas,
1. Are you getting fuel --inertial switch can kill the fuel
2. Had a similar problem in an F150 --turned out to be a bad power
connectionto the PCM relay. If the computer gets no power, it will kill the spark. This was odd--has a spark when the jumper is opened to set base timing. The dead computer killed it when the jumper was put back. This is the point where the computer sets the advance.
