Bad IP or what
85 F250 6.9L non turbo C6 In the morning when I first start it and start down the road the RPM's seem to run away when shifting from 1st to 2nd and it is starting to do it from 2nd to 3rd sometimes. It feels like the powerband of a 2 stroke motor kicking in. The truck has 187000 miles on it and I bought it used and have no idea if the pump has been changed. The cold start idle is working as I can feel it drop RPM's about a mile or 2 down the road. It also does'nt seem to have the power it used to have when pulling my 6000 lbs trailer. Is the pump bad or is this RPM thing a bad injector/s? Also seems to crank a few more revs. than normal before starting. Any ideas? Thanks in advance
