Stock Head Unit Removal

I've got the 6-CD changer, double-DIN head unit ('05 F350 CC) and just need access to wire up my new speakers and amp, and hopefully XM soon.

Dumb question, but I don't need to pull the dash do I? What's the best way to get access?

Thanks,
Mike

yes, yes, and yes

Just had mine apart.

The stereo is bolted (small bolts) to the inside of the dash board, and the only way to get to them is to remove the dash.

It's not that big of a deal, as the switches all plugged in. I did not replace my head unit, only spliced in to run RCA's back to the amps. The front "cover" for the 6 disc did not look removable to me.

Hope this helps.

Eric

Thanks. I'm leaving my h/u in too, and also need to run wires to an amp. Just didn't want to have to remove the dash.
