3L oil usage???

3L oil usage???
I have a 97 ranger with 3L V6 with 41K miles on it. As I take it to ford for service, i didn't pay much attention to oil usage until recently.... Seems that oil is down around 3/4 qt after last change (3000 miles).... is this normal for this engine??

3L oil usage???
I remember when I got my first Ranger, a new '92, it had the 3.0 and the salesman told me it would use at least 1/2 quart between changes and that was normal for this engine. It did and my next 3.0, a '97 used a bit less.
