coolant question

I have a 2001 psd im going to change my antifreeze and flush out the system any ideas what kinda antifreeze and additive to use.

If you have the gold coolant, I'd just about say the Motorcraft Premium is the way to go. If you have the green coolant, then as long as you make sure you get the low-silicate kind, any brand name will do. Personally, I just recently put Zerex in mine, in the white jug. It said "low-silicate" right on the front of the jug. With the green, make sure to use the anti-cavitation additive, and make sure to use distilled water instead of tap water. Just make sure to remember that the gold coolant and green coolant will not mix.........

Or you could switch it to the gold and not have to put any additive in it, I've done this to mine and have had no problems at all if anything I think it runs cooler.
