On my 78 there are two vacuum hoses that go into the firewall together. One looks to be about 1/16" and goes into the ball control for the heater core water flow.
The other one is about 1/4" and has a blue stripe down the length...trying to figure out where it goes. I am guessing it goes on a T between the manifold vacuum and the infamous coffee can. The Autzone repair info isn't helping me too much, either.
Does anyone know where this large firewall vacum line connects and what it does?
I believe that should be the vacuum to control your heater flaps and all that good mess. You have AC on your truck? I'm pretty certain all the AC trucks used vacuum to control the temp and flaps.
