Deq

I have a 1991 F250. I cut off the muffler a while back and am going to have to go in to DEQ in 05. Will the muffler being off make me not pass DEQ? I was planning on replacing it with a flow master anyways, but im just curious. Also does it matter what i do Intake wise(like changing the intake system, headers)? Or is all DEQ caring about is the exhaust that flows out?

The way I read this, all emissions equipment has to be in place and functioning.

You need a muffler as without it, you will be a noise violator. You havn't gotten a ticket for that yet, or shot at by your neighbor?

Check it out, and you should have known:

Yes I knew without a muffler was a violation. But where I live everyone lives out of boundry for the most part and everyones running straight pipes, so mine isnt that much louder.
