timing question

timing question
I have an 88 F150 with the 300. I was checking the timing and found that it was at about 12 degrees. I think it is supposed to be at 10 degrees. I went to change the timing and I could not find the distributor clamp/bolt to be able to loosen it and move the distributor counterclockwise. I looked all around it and it appeared that there was no such thing. How do I adjust the timing? Any help would be appriciated.

should be under the base of the distributor-on the side towards the radiator-bolted into the block. mines a 1/2 inch i believe. and i can reach mine from the front of the truck--mind you my truck is carbed so i dont know if your is similar anyhows hope it helps. i put mine to about 7-8 degrees it ran like a p.o.s. at 10 but yeah
