gas leak

can anyone tell me what problem i may have from experience. on my front gas tank when i fill above say half to three quarters, i get a leak from top somewhere and runs down and along seam. i thought seam was bad, but turns out may be something minor. i was told to slide bed back and check fill hose, pump seal etc. i was told easier with bed slid back as compared to dropping tank. my question is , is this true about bed and can bed bolts be remove somewhat easily. i have 1988 f150 inline six 2 wheel drive 4 speed with dual tanks. any help is appreciated. by the way only seems to leak while moving. not sitting still.

yeah the bed is easily removed. when gettin to the tanks, it is often easier to remove all but the rear bolt, leave them loose. then tilt the bed as required. install jackstands between the bed rail and frame to besure you dont cut your head off. also remove the fuel filler hoses, usually from the outside with a 7mm socket. you should then beable to see your front tank and hoses easily. rear tank it is easier just to remove the bed.
