starting question another 1

Heres the deal, last year i replaced the glowplugs and it started good.
I noticed the glowplug relay quit clicking, i figured the new plugs was warming it good and it did'nt need any more.

Now it is getting harder to start. If i cycle the plugs twice it starts pretty good but no cycling in the relay still.

I hav'nt checked the plugs yet. I was wondering what else to look for.

It's a 1993 7.3 4x4 .also anyone know where to get a manual for front differential dana 60?

I am prety good with multimeter. I do know my way around voltage and ohms and amps. any help is appreciated. thanks

use your meter and check the bigger lugs on the controller while it is cold. You will need someone to work the key for you. I had one that developed corrosion on the lugs, beneath the wire connectors. The wait light came on, the controller switched once or twice but did not put the correct voltage thru the system. It kind of quick cycled and shut down. I was only able to use a light on the lugs - before cleaning the light was dim at best, after cleaning it really lit up. Hope this helps.

I got the haynes manual out and went step by step checking controller, Everything was getting right amout of voltage acording to the book. I checked glowplugs,ok. It was 80 degrees today so I did'nt get any cycling in the relay. It came on for 15 seconds then went off, no more after that. It still took several cranks then I switched it off and energized the plugs again and it started good.
I wonder if I'm getting air, I need to replace the return hoses and clamps as the hoses are getting cracks. Where can I get a return kit? Nobody here ever heard of them. Even ford looked at me funny when I asked.

Do you have a international dealer nearby? If not, try to find and injection shop

There is nothing nearby. About 80 miles one way I think. Hoping to find something i could just order. You would think there would be a kit available. Might search tonight. Does it sound like air to you? Being hard to start even if warm? I know it could be other things but might be air in return.

Thanks, I was'nt having much luck trying to find it on my own. Got a kit ordered today.
Now if I could just find a manual for my front dana 60. All I have found so far is a cd on ebay. I'm not sure if it covers the ball joint model. It lists it for the kingpin era. I don't know if anything else changed when they went to the ball joint on knuckle joint.
