I've been shopping around for new tires and now its time to buy. 31/10.50r15 wintson winner m/t's are the best deal I have found. I was wondering what the speed rating is for them. I live right off the highway and regularly push 75-80 mph. My ranger has the governor set at about 97ish, and on road trips I'm right up against it. I just dont want to go visit some friends a few hours away, and have a tire blow up on me. My goodyear wranler's held up fine at 90+ for the 350 mile trip.
BTW, my truck came with 265/75r15's, will 31/11.50r15's fit or are they too wide?
Check the side of the tire and look at the speed rating.

Sorry I was looking at the first part of the post. Should fit okay, a lot of people fit 32x11.50's stock, or with a small torsion bar crank. Some people will reccommend an 8" wide wheel though for that width, which should also help push the tire out a little to clear the sway bar, which is (I think) the only thing the tires might rub on.
Thanx. I appreciate the info. Sorry about any confusion. Is there any way to find out what size rims i have without taking the tire off and measuring. They are pretty wide. Not sure if they are 8 inches or not.
If you have stock wheels then they are 15x7. Might want to call a tire shop and see what they think about 11.50's on 7" wheels, but I think they would rub the swaybar a little more mounted on the stock wheels anyway. Then again, if it bothers you, just don't turn the steering wheel the last 1/4 turn...
