We have a truck at work that is used for plowing snow. Winter is coming up and I want to change the fluid before we start plowing. I am not sure what transfer case it is but it is mated to an AOD automatic transmission and 5.0 L engine.
My question is that I know it takes ATF fluid but should I use synthetic just to help with heat displacement, etc. Will it cause it to leak or anything? I don't want to be adding ATF to it when I am trying to push snow! The transfer case itself doesn't leak so I should be fine, correct?
Thanks guys!
