The last couple of morinings its been in the teen's here in western CO. It fires up right away, but is very rough running untill it starts to warm. I thought it was going to cut off it was chuggin so bad.
Is this something that can damage the engine? I don't remember the truck running near this bad last year when it regularly saw temps in the 20's. The only thing that is different is Predator is now installed.

Have you been using the block heater and running fuel additive?
The Predator Should Not Affect Anything I Run It On Mine. Been Pretty Cold In Michigan Mornings To I Use The Block Heater Also Put Addatives In The Fuel Starts Fine Low Noise Tell It Gets To Proper Running Temp.8d
Just left Sargents, Co yesterday. Mine and a buddies trucks had been setting for about 4 days. When I started it Tuesday morning the overhead said -2F. It started a little slow and was noisy but it worked fine. Wednesday I plugged it in, much better.
On the 05 they are not standard. On 03/04 the block heaters are standard and the pigtail is hidden away behind the front bumper on the passenger side tow hook. Mine takes a little longer to run good when it is cold. I use Stanadyne Performance Formula or PS in each tank. I "think" the Stanadyne works best.
It is noisier and lacks performance when cold but is fine when warmed up.
get a creaper and a flash light and go under your truck and look for the plug for your block heater. it will be black on black so it will be difficult to find.
In Colorado and approx 8 other states, the block heater is standard on the 2005's. As others have posted, you'll find it tucked into the backside of the bumper on the passenger side. I just set up a timer so it starts a few hours before driving and it makes a big difference: less racket when starting and the heater warms instantly.
