Dumb question...but what is a decent not too damn expensive bug shield? I'd like the wrap style if possible. EGR? Lund? GTS? Draw-Tite? Any suggestions or experience out there? Tks.
I have always gotten good service from Bugflector. You can get them from Autozone. I have a 2002 edge and was having trouble finding one, they ordered it and it was there in 2 days. Mine was not a wraparound and was only $30. I think the wrapapround was about $60.

not sure what you mean about wrap around....
I have the low profile one on my 2002xlt (looks like edge)
The dealer wanted like 90$bucks so I went on ebay found a ford dealer who was selling overstock and got one for 40bucks +10shipping
It worked out great and I saved a few bucks.
Do those really work? I would think it only helps at certain airspeeds, like only when you are going between 40 mph and 50 mph. Aerodynamics is so complicated that I doubt a $30 plastic shield will really deflect bugs off the windshield.
I got a bugshield for my 95 Ranger and I found that it didnt do much good for keeping anything off of the windshield. I was having trouble with rocks hitting my windshield (I am currently on my 5th windshield) and I really didn't notice any difference with rocks or bugs after I put the bugshield on.
