Weird click noise

I have the 04 FX4 which is about 3 months old. About 2 weeks ago I noticed a clicking type noise coming from the steering wheel area of my truck. It happened infrequently and could not be heard unless the radio was off (so, it is not all that loud). It now happens much more frequently when I am driving. It does not sound when going over a bump or rough road. It just makes a click noise every few seconds. Almost sounds like something is loose. Anyone have a similar issue or have any idea what it could be? Thanks

My guess would be the air conditioner compressor.No need to worry.

Have you checked to see if the wheel lug nuts are tight?

it is definately coming from the steering wheel area of the truck and not outside the truck like the wheel lug nuts

I'd still check the lug nuts. Those alum wheels won't live long if they are loose. You'd be surprized how sound can travel and fool you from where it's coming from.

I have a clicking noise coming from my seat. It always happens on acceleration and turning. When my weight shifts to the seat back it makes a clicking sound.

Anyone else have this problem?

I had a rattle inthe center of my Dash, Below the Climate Controls, but then i took the change out if the ashtray and it went away!
