97 Explorer OD Light
I have a 97 Explorer w/ auto trans. the o/d light will flash non stop. Some times after restarting the vehicle the light will stop flashing. I've read that several other people has had the same problem but know one has replied to a 97 model. Some possible problems would be the TCC solenoid or PCM module. If anyone has more information about this being an issue for the 97 models and what would be the likely cause, it would be helpful, thank...

You may have seen my post about the 99 explorer with the flashing o/d light... Unfortunately, I had someone check the trans and apparently the torque converter is comming apart. There's etal throughout the trans, which is tearing up the frt pump etc. I've been told they repair 8 ford trans to 1 gm! Every truck/van trans is garbage except the full size trucks! Hope your news is better.
