I have a 2000 F250 SD Crew Cab, 4X4 and I have been thinking about getting bigger wheels. I was looking at 16x10 American Eagle 102 polished aluminum wheels.Fits 8x170mm bolt patterns,(Superduty/Excursion),-24mm offset,backspace4.5".
I really don't know if this is correct for my truck or how to find out. Any help appreciated.
I was also wondering what the biggest tire I could put on this truck would be without a lift?
i have a 99 f-250 superduty supercab 4x4, i have 16x10 american racing rims with 315/75/16 tires (same size as 35x12.50). and that is with stock suspension. the only thing i had to do is unbolt the front bumper and put 1" spacers between the frame and bumper to move it forward and the tires do not rub at all. there a pic of it in my gallery, itll give you an idea what it looks like
yeah i think those specs are correct. i dont remember for sure but it sounds right. the tread on my tires stick out right to the edge of the wheel wells, it really looks good. i have been running them on there for about 8 months with no problems. i actually just got done putting a 4" lift on it tonight, but it was too dark to take pics so ill take some tomorrow and hopefully have them posted before too long. i took some 'before pics' so you will be able to see more what the setup looked like without the lift.
yeah mine are 4.5" backspacing. my lift is a procomp 4" suspension, its new springs in the front and a 1" block and add-a-leaf in the back. 4wheelparts was having a sale and i got the whole thing with shocks, pitman arm, sway bar endlinks, and trac bar relocator for 700 bucks. they have different sales running all the time. people say they dont like the ride of a procomp lift, but i can not tell any difference from the stock ride at all.
mine fit, i had them on there for about 6 months before i got my lift. the only time they rubbed is if the wheels were turned all the way and and i went over some big bumps or turning into a steep driveway off the road. i wonder what the difference is. sorry i told you they would go on.
i know what your saying, when i saw them drop mine down off the lift with those tires you couldnt get the smile off my face. untill they rubbed the bumper but we unbolted that and fixed that problem so the smile was back all the way home those 285s will look good i got 2 friends with those tires on their SD and they look good.
