Style side is a regular pickup box where the fender wells are in the box.
Step side is the narrow box and fender wells outside the box. (there's a step in front of the fender.)
Short bed is 6 3/4 feet long.

That's weird. When I first visited your post, all that was there was the "Just curious" title followed by styleside, shortbed, etc. There were also no responses. There was no "I was wondering" sentence. I look at it now and there is a post before mine and there's also your "I was wondering" sentence. You can nevermind my response. I thought your were curious as to what these meant.
That depends. I have a '70 short flare (step) side. I wouldn't have it any other way. But my '64 is a short styleside, and it looks so cool lowered with big tires peekin' out! So my loyalties are divided...
