Replacing Power Steering Pump

I have a 2000 V10 and noticed about 3 weeks ago that the power steering pump was leaking. Yesterday it got below freezing and when I went to start the truck the power steering pump was whining pretty good. But after I drove it a few miles the whining went away. My question is how difficult is it to replace the power steering pump? Thanks in advance.

How good are you with tools?

If you're sure the pump is going south, but it still operates fair, just go to the Ford dealership and get a small bottle of Friction Modifier. Then just add a little to the fluid reservoir at a time until the whining goes away. That way you can use the pump until you find out how to change it - which, like Monsta was referring to, only takes a little elbow grease and knowledge of tools.

If it's leaking bad, don't waste your time or money on the above temporary fix - just grab a new one and slap it on. Piece of cake.
