nitrous in an fe
i just recently built up a 390 and it has all the power a person would ever need. but im 16 so i need more power.. i was wondering if like a 25-50 hp shot of nitrous would dammage the engine

What pistons does it have? Forged = go, cast = 50hp max.
With forged I wouldn't be afraid of a 150hp shot. More and your cylinder pressures may be too high at low rpms, like 2000, and you'll break things.

Nitrous will only damage the engine if:
1. The bottom end is not strong enough to handle the Torque increase.
2. The timing is too far advanced.
3. The nitrous is improperly jetted and runs lean.
4. The gasoline flow is interrupted, causing a lean condition
5. The nitrous bottle gets too hot, increasing pressure, causing lean.
