What do ya'll think???

OK...I'm doing a lot of dreaming here, but anyhow what do you all think would be the sweetest 'vintage' engine to throw into my 01 F150 regular cab stepside with the lightning front body pieces. I'll probably never do this, but it's fun to dream This dreaming was inspired by an article about a '95 Ram with a 426 HEMI in it. Sweet idea, and it was put together well. My thoughts so far have led me to the obvious- 427 High Riser, 428 Super Cobra Jet, 429 Cobra Jet, or hahahaha 429 BOSS(yeah right $$$$$)

How about a Lincoln 460 (factory 4bbl intake)? you'd need a supplimentary fuel tank in the bed though. I had a '78 F250 with '77 Lincoln 460 in it, dang thing would wrap the speedometer all the way around and back up to 27 again! (I only did that once, the front end was scary loose) Anyway, that thing would pass anything but a gas station. It outran more than one Highway Patrol 5.0 Mustang over the years.

Yeah I've got a lincoln 460s in my both of my 76's. One's out of a 77 linc and the other out of a 70. The 70 has a lot more giddyup than the 77...A LOT!!!

I had a built 428CJ in my 76 F250 4x4 and had a blast with it
If I drove nice it got better gas mileage than the stock 360, better than the 351W and the 460 that I installed in the truck later.
Frying all 4 38.5" Ground Hawgs was just an added bonus

Either a BOSS 429 or a 514 Crate engine would be my choice
