What would you do??

I bought a 78 f250 extended cab off ebay.No dont raise your eyebrows yet.The sale went very smooth. The problem is I call a carrier to pick it up in virginia to deliver 750 miles to florida. They picked up Oct.19th and i still dont have it.The Co. that i put a deposit with subcontracted it out with a trucking co. so i called them as well and like the other tell me it should be there friday but friday comes ,no truck and you cant talk to anyone until monday then it starts all over.Another problem i may have is the guy i bought it from put the title in the glove box.So i dont have anything really except a receipt from ebay to even go to the police with as stolen. So I dont know what to do,any realistic suggestions?

Title in the glove box.........isnt that like leaving the key to your house in the front door?
If its a signed title without your name on it.......you might want a lawyer.
If you used the same guy we did out of Maryland to move a boat, he's lost.
