Unhappy Help - My truck is idling too rough and low

Hi – I have a 1990 F150 351W 2wd Lariat. I had a bad thermostat and water temp gauge a couple of weeks ago. I had replaced them and the truck was running ok, but the gas mileage was getting worse. Last Friday I read some posts about resetting the computer so I disconnected the neg cable for 10 min and hooked back up.

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

Now the truck runs like crap – idles too low and dead spot while coming off the light. Almost sounds like TPS, but I don’t know why resetting the computer would cause it to go in the crapper. Any EFI genius’s out there? Thanks to anyone who can help!

could be just a coincidance that your tps went out try cleaning the iac valve also . also when you clear the computer codes , warm the truck up first then disconnect the battery - reconect and the computer will relearn - when it's warm it will learn faster . sounds funny but it's true.
