Front End Shake Solved
I have been chasing the so called "Death Wobble" in my 71 F-100 4x4 for a few years now.I replaced every bearing, bushing, tie rods, shocks, steering components and after all that the "wobble" or shake in my case was still there.Thought it was the tires so i had them rebalanced numerous times with minimal success.Well I finally figured out what the cause of the shake was.Last month I finally took the old girl to the body shop to have the cab front body mounts repaired and that was the last time she ever shook. The cab mounts were completely rusted out and the rubber bushings were gone so there was a lot of play between the body and frame. All it took was for the suspension to bounce a little and the body would start moving up and down like a front wheel with no shock, kind of like a harmonic reaction between the two.Well it drives great and handles much better now that the cab quit moving around thru the corners.Hope this helps someone else.

Death Wobble Update
Well the death wobble has returned only worse this time .It seems that My 71 F-100 Dana 44 has broke the welds loose that hold the driver side axle tube to the diff housing,go figure@$#3&%*anyway.So now the short tube is moving up and down in the housing and is messing with the balance of the left front tire that I have been having all the wobble in.I am going to find a shop and have them weld it back and hope this solves yet another death wobble mystery.
