Unhappy 352 Fuel leak

I have a 352 V8 in a 66 F100. I replaced the fuel pump, but now have a small leak at the connector from the line coming from the fuel tank, into the pump. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting but the leak persists. Do I need to apply some type of grease before attaching the connections?

A little teflon tape on the treads should cure the leak. That is if othing is cracked. Look reak close.

Does the pump have a press fit barb or a thread on barb(where rubber line attaches)???

If it threads on, then you need to use some teflon tape to seal it up.
If it is pressed in, then there are issues you can't deal with really. Take it back and get another pump. You could do something with it, but why?

Smile Fuel Leak

The connection to the fuel pump has the thread on barb. I used teflon tape and it solved the problem.
Thanks!

I had a simliar fuel leak and I got a special non-hardening sealer from autozone and put it on the threads and it also cured the problem.
