worn front shocks

can worn out shock damage the my front end? It will be a few months before i can replace them. I was told ridding on pavment will be ok for now, but to watch my tires for uneven wear. Is this correct and why the tire wear? thanks 87 f150 4.9

Not really going to hurt anything, may cause some "cupping" on tires, but they will do that anyway(radials),that's the reason for rotation.

Does the front end bounce much more than once when you hit a speed bump or a driveway curb at reasonable speed?
I have seen some older Fords, 70's, hit a chuckhole in the road (coming toward me ) and the whole front suspenson start bouncing - that's scary. As long as you don't feel shimmy in front wheels should be OK for a while. Good luck.

It rides fine except you can feel every little pot hole. There not leaking but i think they must have 80,000 miles on them by now.
