I'm having problems with my gas gauge on my '95 ranger. It works sometimes but most of the time it just stays on empty (even with a full tank). I would like to try and clean the ground wire from my sending unit before I take it to my mechanic. The problem is I can't find the wire. Anyone know of where it might be, or know of any other options? Thanks

It is common for the sendor to go bad. You can test it at the connection at the tank, around 160 ohms full and 15 empty.
