Steering wheel exchange
The steering wheels in a 73-77 look different than the 78-86 steering wheels. Will a 78-86 wheel fit and work on a 77. Will the blinkers cancel out and the horn pad work. Need info ASAP. Thanks.

Splines are same, believe turn signals cancel with shaft,not wheel,and not too many horn pads that I have seen still work,I use the "finger" in emergency.But I don't think 80-86 will work,shaft I know has a master spline.

80-up wheel has master spline (flat spot).Pre 80 shaft/wheel splined all the around so it can be removed/re-installed to center only had 1 tie-rod adjustment sleeve.80-up has 2 adjustment sleeves on tie-rods to center wheel.The shaft diameter is the same though,if you use a "rattail"file to round out flat spot it will fit shaft.But not recomended .
