ok, well, i found another misdemeanor an my truck.....i went to write down the certification label from the driver's side door jamb so i could find out what axel ratio i have....and well, much to my dismay, there was no label. is there somewhere else i can find this label or something similar? probably not right. no owners manual either. is it possible to send Ford an email with my VIN to get the specs? '95 250 reg cab 2x4 manual. any ideas what ratio this truck might have off the top of anybody's head?
Being a F250 HD, it's either 3.55, or 4.10. That's all that was offered in a 95.
If you look at the diff cover, the tag may still be on it. The ratio is the leftmost 3 numbers in the lower set(It'll read 3.55, or 3L55, some just have a space instead of the period, and the L stands for limited slip). The first number is usually covered by the bolt too...
yep, its 3.55 limited slip (grip). i had looked at the tag once before and found out from a code sheet ona different website that it was a Sterling differential. what would the equivilent be in the Dana Series? 40? i might call Ford anyways with the VIN and see what they say. thanks a bunch
