What motor mounts
I have a 460 in my 77 F250 4x4 and the transfer case is hitting the frame, I had it checked out and they told me I have the wrong motor mounts. They said I had a Lincoln motor mount on one side and a 351 motor mount on the other side. This causes the motor to sit too low and the transfer case thus sits too high, it literally rests on the frame and every time I hit the gas or let off the gas it bangs the frame.
I know there are 460 motor mount out there but some say you need the different perches for hte frame and others don't. What do you guys suggest I get, got any part numbers? Thanks.
