Link Pin and ball joint replacement -How difficult
Phase 2, rebuilding the front end, how difficult is it to do myself, done a few bent stove bolt fronts but never a f250. The truck has a lot of play, tough to keep it in the lane while driving, so I'm guessing that everything pretty much needs to be gone through.
Also what kind of price am i looking at for rear drums of this F250, someone told me $150 apiece, is that true? Called autozone, they said $33 but I don't know if I believe him since he had a tough time finding them on the computer.
Any help would be appreciated.
Oh its a 76 f250 crew cab swb.
Tom
Thanks.
The lower balljoint is pressed in, and the upper is riveted in. You can't really do the King pins yourself, I don't even think they are serviceable on your truck. Tie rods are pretty easy, count the threads. Steering box is pretty easy, its heavy but its not too difficult.
You could probably do it if you are familiar with front end work, but you might wanna get an estimate from a reputable shop.
