Ranger bed floor support repair
Howdy folks...
I have a 2004 Ranger with a rotted front right bed support rail. That corner of the bed is just floating in air at this point. I am looking for the best way to reattach it to the frame.
I was looking for something like this for the Ranger: but I can not find anything for the Ranger.
Are any of the Dorman kits modifiable for the Rangers? alternatively, do you have any standard C-Channel stock size that you can recommend?
I do not want to swap out the whole bed or take it to a shop. I assume I will grind out all of the rot/rust and throw a bolt through the bed and support to the frame. Any suggestions you can make would be greatly appreciated!

thanks for the reply. Junk yard route is definitely on the list. I 've had trouble finding the crossmember that is not rusted to bits. Still looking for a new metal option.

find a yard with an 800 locator who can do a nation wide parts call. Also look at craigs list
Here is a sample of some from this area. https://tucson.craigslist.org/search...d+ranger+parts
several that are part outs.

If you haven't found any yet, during a bed floor replacement we had purchased one of the crossmembers new from Ford, another had to bent up in-house at the shop. It's only 16 Ga cold rolled sheet metal, most local machine shops would be able to bend it up for you.. See the one we made in this thread...
