Anybody know anything bout this ISP? I got a free trial in the mail today and they seem to be the only other people besides AOL who have a local access number.
I've got MSN, it's got local access numbers. I've used Earthlink before, on my bro's computer, and I prefer MSN. My girlfriend used to have AOL, and now that we got MSN she prefers MSN.

Dave Earthlink/Mindspring are supposed to one of the highest rated national ISPs out there. If I was looking I surely would consider them.

I've been using Earthlink as my sole provider since last summer, some six months, and have been tickled to death with them. A hell of a lot better than AOL in most every department, far as I'm concerned. Their support page lists downtimes and problems they may be having all across the country, and their support staff has always been very helpful and considerate.
As of this date, they have over 7,000 local dial-up numbers and the number is growing, which is great for someone like me who is on the road all the time. My connect speeds are usually in the mid to high 40's, and when slower are usually due to the local phone lines and the "last mile" syndrome, not Earthlink.
They also just joined with some big wireless providers and have an increasingly effective wireless network.
I'm pleased, and would recommend them to anyone, traveling or not.
