1983 ranger, 4x4, 2.3L 4 cylinder, ,4 speed . interior lights wont even come on, no power,, battery brand new and fully charged, starter solenoid is brand new, new battery cables, the fuses seem fine, or at least the ones in the fuse box seem fine.
Ouch. Start at the beginning and go from there. A Digital Volt Meter is relatively cheap and real handy. You can get one for $5.00 at a cheapo tool dealer. It can save you some frustrations.
Look again at the battery, all cables, especially the ground wires. You should at least be able to get a headlight or horn honk. If you get that and the ignition is still dead, then I'd look at the ignition switch, clutch safety switch (if so equipped), and as Ken said, the fusible links.
