battery drain draw

ok. i did a search and got the test light procedure pulling the fuses. disc. the neg. and hooked a light and started pulling fuses. light didnt go out. un-hooked the alt. light didnt go out. same with the v.reg. light still stayed on. now my symptoms. turn signals work when the key is in the off pos. if i disconecct the switch, could i still check with the test light to see if it comes on. if the light goes out, can i hook a on/off switch from a ground and the power wire? this was happening before i swapped my 400 to a 351m. so i think its in the switch connector. i put in a new switch and key tumbler. anyone ever have this problem. all my bulbs are new, from the headlights to the backups. thanks for any help. not in a hurry for an answer would like to do this right. oh, o.k i confess, my wife just bought me a '87 rx-7 turbo ll in mint condition, thats why i have not posted in awhile. thanks for any input. hehe, read the sticky. 1978 f-150, 4x4, 351m
