Wheel OFFSET question.

I own a 04 FX4 Screw with 18x7.5 stock wheels. I was told that the stock wheels have an offset of about +50mm to +75mm. I want to put new wheels and tires to my truck. The new wheels I want are 18x10 and have a -25mm offset. The difference in offset between the stock wheels and the ones I want to buy is about 75 to 100 mm (3 to 4 inches).

Does anybody know if this difference in offset will damage some of the axle components? OR What problems can I have if I go from a high positive offset to a negative offset?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

If You Install A Wheel That Has A Negative Offset It Will Set The Wheel And Tire Out Away From The Truck. The High Positive Offset Is Why The Wheel Is Basically Flat On The Face. A Wheel With A +25 Offset Would Have The Mounting Flange Set Into The Wheel. You May Can Run These Wheels On The Vehicle As Long As You Don't Mind A Large Amount Of Tire Outside The Fender

You are right, they are deep-dish wheels and they stick out of the truck about 2 inches. I really do not mind this as long as they do not have any negative effect in the axle components. The only drawback is that they need a lot of space to turn.
