Daily driving with a Hydra tow tune?
Are there any negatives durability wise to running a tow tune for daily driving unloaded ? After having my Hydra for a few months I seem to like the tow tunes shifting the best for my driving . I normally keep it on 25 hp heavy tow . Seems like I get the same mpgs with all the mild tunes.

Sometimes I like to drive in my tow tunes when I'm feeling mellow as I like the trans shifting. Especially when actually towing or loaded. Empty I usually go to my Race tune, the shift points are where I like them, plus I'll get all the HP my stock sticks can give. You can mess around, try them all.
Only problem could be high EGTs so pay attention to that. Otherwise drive the tune you like!

You cannot hurt anything with ‘tow tune’.
Depending on whose tunes you have, there will not be much difference. Often tuners will hold gears longer and mess with TC lockup strategy for ‘tow tune’.
Higher HP tunes just burn more fuel. You’re better off just pushing the skinny pedal further down when you ‘need’ more power - than to run a hot tune and barely press the accelerator to drive ‘normal’.
