2002 door chime
Gotta new ranger 4.0 4x4 and am getting to really like it, but I have a problem. When I am out in the timber going between deer stands without my seatbelt fastened, the stupid seatbelt chime goes off intermittently and drives me nuts. I understand the safety thing and don't mind the dash light but would like to disarm the buzzer, as it interferes with my quality of life. Anyone know where it is? I'm afraid the dealer would deny my request out-of-hand.

I drive, on occasion, without my seatbelt. Usually only on factory grounds, never on the highway. When my chime starts ringing, after about 1 minute of driving without the belt, I push the release button on the buckle. This shuts it off for the rest of the trip. As soon as you shut the truck off & restart it you have to push the button again.
