Hey, who's got the poop on these codes: F10J or F10C....write them down here, or email me the list. I think I'm missing out on some info without it. MY truck is just F100.
Also, I need someone with a breakdown of the D.S.O. codes, ie. where they are from and what's the signifigance for them?
Finally, I need a chart of the axle codes. I've gotten a couple of trucks w/a code too high for my little chart.
Well, the codes I'm looking for are the F10J and F10C codes. I'm sure there are others, but that's all I've come across. For instance, here's my data plate:
F10J0H37438
118 F100 X 04C A 01
5000 126 4000
In that 2nd line, some don't say "F100" as Model type. They say "F10J". It's not a missing "0", it's physically a letter J. There's a reason for it and I'd like to have a chart of all.
The District Sales Office # is missing on the VIN pictured on the first link, but there are some out there w/a DSO #. I'd like to know the DSO locations (Atlanta, Chicago, etc.) and what the notation means.
It shows a list of DSO codes and locations for the T-bird....so ours has to mean something. The codes are different tho' so I can't decipher ours from this chart.
Shane, I have a list of DSO codes, but I think its the same as the t-birds. I think the first 2 #'s of a DSO is the district code, the rest is the special order #. I'll also send you a complete axle chart and other vin info for 1960. I also found a few more factory photos of a 1957 and a 58. -4speed
