ABS light on solid
I got some good info back on my throttle body and fast idle problem, that i'll ask for advice on my last problem. My ABS light is on solid. It comes on when I turn the key on, it starts, and the abs light never goes off. I have checked the fuse and it's OK, fluid is not low. I was going to take it to Auto Zone, but I read somewhere that they can't read the codes from the ABS? Ford tells me that if they could, and it was a sensor problem, that it wouldn't tell me what wheel sensor was broke. They also said that most of the time it's the speed sensor in the rear axle. Is there a way to check each sensor like with a ohm or volt meter? Is it true that on a 4X4 2000 Explorer that you can't replace the sensor on the front wheel? something like the rotor has to be replaced?
