1st my truck makes a nose when i turn the tires and why im running it,
and i just found out that im low on fluid ... could that be the reson its
makes nose??
Ok 2ed
To day i was in the grass and was just lazy and dumped the cluch in Revers...
Well My axle in the back hoped around like crazy maken the shifter mount
(plastic part) crack .... it made a thump thump sound as it was doing it.
nothing seams broken besides that ... just is that normal or is a mount realy
lose or something? when i drive normaly its fine.
The rear ends in these trucks will jump around, so its not a good idea to dump the clutch. Also, ring and pinions aren't made for strain in reverse, only forward. Secondly, almost all of these trucks have noisy power steering systems.
I agree with vman, Ford's our age have always had a loud power steering pump. Wynn's makes a additive with claims to quiten it down, but having never tried I can't say whether it works or not.
