Is this normal chain noise?

Truck is a '95 F-150, 351w, E4OD, BW 1356 TC, 3.55 Ford 8.8" rearend. Truck has a supercab so it has a driveshaft carrier bearing and a two piece rear driveshaft.

I have noticed that if I open the rear windows I can hear what sounds sort of like a chain noise (I have a cap on the box, so noise from under is channeled into the cab with the rear cab window open). It varies exactly with road speed but I'm fairly certain it is not a wind noise. I cannot hear it with the window closed, or even if I open the front window on the cap. I can really start to hear it above 40mph or so.

Like I said, I have to hear it under the exact right conditions, it's not something I hear normally, so it's not real loud.

My question is, is this a noise that a BW1356 normally makes in 2WD? Does the chain normally turn in 4x2 also? It's a pushbutton 1356 and it seems to work perfectly fine..

I'm going to pull the carrier bearing along with the rest of the driveshafts and inspect U-joints and carrier bearing, just wondering if it's the TC if I don't find anything wrong with those.

I think this is gone after I did the driveshaft u-joints and carrier bearing. Must have been the bearing, it felt a little rugged when I turned it by hand.

Good deal, I hope that fixed the noise for good.
