Hey all,
Thanks for the great advise with the air conditioning. I decided, for the short term, to bypass the AC pump with a smaller belt. It held for about 2 weeks then broke. Any advise on why this would happen? The belt was not too tight or too loose, and my tensioner pulley is working fine.
Again, any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Hmmm, lots of little pieces? Sounds like the belt may have been a smidge too small. Your tensioner should have threee marks. Two on the bracket side and one on the arm that holds the pulley. The tensioner is designed to hold proper tension throughout the normal stretch expectancy of the belt however, the tensioner should not end up with the mark on the pulley arm beyond either of the other two marks. The idea being that too far one way the belt is too tight and too far the other way its too loose.
This is obviously just a bit of educated speculation, you know the setup better than I.
