Removing Window Trim

I want to remove the trim from my windows/windshield on my '68 F-100. As best I can figure, the place to start is the spot welds on the inside of the doorjams that I can see through the paint, drilling them out.

Is this the correct procedure? Does anyone have and experience with this project?

what exactly is it that you are trying to remove because ive had off every piece of trim on one of these trucks that there is and you don't have to drill anything out

The "rain gutter" around the doors and windshield.

I think that stuff pops right off. Is it in good shape? I'm looking for some. I believe it is referred to as "drip rail trim."

Pops off? I don't believe it does. It looks to me like there are welds spots every 6-8 inches - little circular indentations in the paint.

But then again, I don't know what I am talking about, or I wouldn't be asking for help around here

The stainless steel trim pops off...but not all trucks had the trim. Under the trim, if it is there, is the actual rain gutter structure that is welded to the cab..how I am not sure...why do you want to remove it? ..Get out your angle grinder and go crazy.
